Steve Neorr - President & Chief Operations Officer

Steve Neorr

President & Chief Operations Officer

Steve has worked with physicians for 25 years. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Population Health for Cone Health, serving as Chief Administrative Officer for Triad Healthcare Network (THN) ACO and Chief Executive Officer of HealthTeam Advantage (HTA), Cone’s provider-led Medicare Advantage health plan.

David 'Dave' Grapey, MD, MHA, is UpStream’s Chief Medical Officer. Prior to UpStream, he served as the Chief Clinical Officer for the Triad Healthcare Network ACO with over 1200 providers and 100,000 members in full-risk value-based contracts and as the Chief Medical Officer for a 5-star, provider owned Medicare Advantage Plan.

He has over 20 years of prior clinical experience as a board-certified urologist. He completed his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his residency at Northwestern University. He also holds a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of North Carolina.

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Valinda has served as the Executive Vice President of Federal Affairs for America’s Physician Groups, a national association of 350 organizations. She was responsible for all federal government affairs activities in DC, including overseeing APG’s legislative and regulatory agenda, the political action committee, and other aspects of a successful federal affair’s program such as analyzing legislation regulations and new payment models.

Prior to joining UpStream, Steve oversaw the managed care functions at Southwestern Health Resources across both UT Southwestern and Texas Health Resources and more than 500 community based primary care physicians, representing more than $6 billion in contracted revenue, with more than 750,000 members in value-based arrangements.

Will is Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of UpStream, where he leads the legal and compliance departments. Will has served as a senior legal and policy executive at McKesson, a Fortune 10 healthcare company.

Laurie Borgerding Johnson - Chief Compliance Officer

Chief Compliance Officer

Laurie is the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Privacy Officer for UpStream. Laurie came to us from eviCore healthcare, where for 12 years she was counsel to the company and ultimately the CCO. Laurie has a degree in Environmental Science from DePaul University and a law degree from Columbia University in New York.

Thomas has over 35 years of experience in healthcare. He most recently served as CFO of Molina Healthcare, a Fortune 500 managed care company focused on government-sponsored healthcare programs.

Jane Price - Chief People Officer

Jane Price

Chief People Officer

Jane is a top performing recruiting leader with experience in healthcare, professional services, and higher education. Prior to joining UpStream, she was SVP, Talent Acquisition and Provider Growth at VillageMD. As a very early hire at VillageMD, she built and led the talent acquisition, executive search, and provider recruiting functions. She played a critical role in the company’s growth from ~25 employees to over 5,000 during her tenure, including launching a specialized provider recruiting team and provider experience strategy.

Dr Angelo Sinopoli - Chief Network Officer

Angelo has over 30 years of clinical and health care leadership experience and has been a key leader nationally in advancing population health and the move to value-based care. He was President and CEO of the Care Coordination Institute (CCI) and most recently served as Chief Clinical Officer of Prisma Health.

Danielle has over 10 years in leading Population Health Programming including Operations Management, Budget Allocation and Program Development. She most recently served as Senior Director for clinical operations for Ascension Healthcare where she created and executed on Population Health Clinical Programs and initiatives that improved population outcomes, quality and affordability from a Health System and Health Plan perspective.

Nathan Hemberg - Chief Practice Officer

Nathan has 14 years’ experience in managing large scale community pharmacy with integrated management of chronic conditions and is one of the founding leaders of UpStream.  He has led the business and clinical operations through exponential company growth including adding over 80k available Medicare patients to the UpStream Practice, embedded CCM teams in over thirty PCP practices, and added over 200 new employees. As a clinical pharmacist and pharmacy manager, Nathan developed key relationships across and a deep understanding of North Carolina’s pharmacy and PCP landscape. He is passionate about improving patient outcomes and bringing out the best in his people.

Nathan holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University. He was awarded the 2011 Community Care Pharmacist of the Year Award in North Carolina.

John Supra - Chief Data Science & Analytics Officer

John Supra

Chief Data Science & Analytics Officer

With a background that includes executive positions focused on enterprise software development across a variety of industries, John brings significant technical experience and applies his knowledge of data-informed process improvement and modern software development to drive innovations that enable health delivery systems to focus on population health and develop their health informatics capacity. 

John served as Chief Data Officer for Prisma Health and as Vice President for the Care Coordination Institute (CCI). Previously, he served as the Deputy Director for Operations and Information Management and Chief Information Officer at South Carolina’s Department of Health and Human Services.

John holds Bachelor and Master in engineering from the University of Colorado.

Lucas Sahm - Chief Information Officer

Lucas is a proven technology leader and entrepreneur. He co-founded a multi-million-dollar technology solutions company which includes consultants spanning the U.S., South America, and Asia, and is an Agile applications development specialist. He has built and deployed multiple commercial SaaS products for Fortune 500 companies. 

For over 20 years, he has been designing, developing, and deploying enterprise systems for multiple industries while leading teams to deliver intelligent mobile, web, and integration applications. His aptitude in agile delivery processes has helped him lead his teams to create and deliver sophisticated software solutions. 

Lucas holds a Bachelor in Management Information Systems, Computer Science from the University of Nebraska.

Dr Mark Reardon - Chief Quality Officer

Dr Mark Reardon

Chief Quality Officer

Mark is an experienced physician leader passionate about novel approaches to care delivery that align with the necessary transformation of the US healthcare system from volume to value. He has led value-based care transformation and quality activities across payers and at-risk entities, including Commonwealth Care Alliance, a health plan and provider organization serving dually eligible members, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, a division of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services focused on payment model innovation. 

He has overseen quality in multi-billion-dollar specialty models and has authored innovative federal policy for value-based care programs. He has led business development and care model design for SDOH chronic care management services.

Mark holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami.
